A boyfriend's incredible gesture to support his partner has left her - and millions of strangers - in floods of tears.
Eva Barilaro, who has alopecia, said that after months of allowing her hair to grow for the first time in a decade, she asked her boyfriend Damien for help to shave her head.
She uploaded a timelapse clip of the process to TikTok, showing her partner carefully using clippers to remove her hair - but it was an unexpected move at the end of the cut which has melted the hearts of the internet.
As soon as Damien puts the finishing touches on Eva's hair, he immediately takes the clippers to his own head in a show of solidatary.
Eva looks up and immediately buries her head in her hands in tears as she realises what Damien is doing.
She shared the moving video on YouTube, writing: "'Just like you' - he said. My boyfriend surprised me by shaving his head just after shaving mine.
"I will be forever grateful for being so well surrounded. I wish everyone could be supported as well as I am daily.
"This video is to remember everyone that love is above all, and that all one's need is love. Thank you Damien, I love you too..."
After being tweeted by former NBA player Rex Chapman, it's since had more than 11 million views on social media.
He wrote: "His girlfriend was struggling with her hair loss from alopecia. Get out the tissues. Humanity."
It left plenty of viewers crying as one commented: "Was pretty sure he was going to do that and it still got me in the feels."
Another said: "The hardest thing I ever had to do was shave my wife’s head during her battle with cancer. I shaved mine later that night and I’d do it again."
A third wrote: "Renews my faith in humanity. Yes, I needed the tissues. That ending!"
