We all enjoy taking time away from the workplace to enjoy a holiday every once in a while - and that time off is even more warranted if the holiday you're planning also happens to be your honeymoon.
But one newlywed man has been left furious after he booked time off back in January for his honeymoon to Cambodia this month, as although the holiday was approved at the time, his boss has now demanded he come into work anyway.
Sharing his story on Reddit, the man - who is from the US - said he had initially stood up to his boss, but he had threatened to fire him for not being a dependable team member.

In his post, he wrote: "I just got married and am very excited for my honeymoon to Cambodia. My wife and I do not get to take off of work often, so this was a very welcome break. I put in my request on January 1 and my boss approved this the next day.
"However, my boss is now asking me to attend a client pitch meeting on day three of my honeymoon. He says that this is a very important deal and he needs me just for this one day.
"Given that this is my honeymoon I said absolutely not. He responded that it is only one day and if he cannot depend on me for this important revenue-generating meeting, he is not sure that he can depend on me as a member of the team going forward.
"He doesn't seem to understand that I cannot simply fly back to America from Cambodia for one day."
But the man is now stuck between a rock and a hard place because after talking to his wife about the predicament he's in, she told him she "regrets marrying" him.
He added: "I ran the whole scenario by my wife and said that I'm afraid we need to replan our honeymoon because I cannot afford to get fired and now she says that she regrets marrying me.
"I am broken by being forced to choose between an income and a wife."
Commenters on the post encouraged the man to stand by his wife and enjoy his honeymoon without worrying about work commitments, as there will "always be another job" he can do if he gets fired.
One person said: "I seriously hope you’re not going to do this. F**k your job. And fuck that asshat boss of yours. There’s always another job. Stand with your wife dude."
While another added: "Choose your wife! Income is replaceable."
And a third wrote: "The time off was obviously approved. Tell the boss man to kiss your a**, plain and simple. Can’t believe you are actually considering pushing back your honeymoon for a 1-day work request."
