Man's death in Pensford treated as 'unexplained' by police

A person's death in Pensford earlier today (February 7) is being treated as "unexplained but not suspicious" by police.

Avon and Somerset Police said it would be conducting further enquiries on behalf of the coroner's office following the death at a property in High Street.

The force said in a statement that the person died at the scene.

It said: “We were called by the ambulance service to attend a property in High Street, Pensford, at 6.30am today (Monday 7 February).

“Sadly, a person died at the scene of this incident. Their death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious, and we’ll be carrying out further enquiries on behalf of the coroner’s office.”

Four ambulances were also sent to respond to his incident.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 6.09am to an incident in the Pensford area of Bristol and sent four double-crewed land ambulances and an operations officer”.
