Man's cruel way of buying girlfriend's gifts - with some calling relationship 'toxic'

Buying gifts for your significant other can be really difficult sometimes - especially when you've been together for a long time.

How much do you spend on the gift? Will they love the gift? There are so many unanswered questions until you decide to take the plunge.

Instagram user Isaac Ramirez has taken to social media to share his unusual way of saving for his girlfriend's presents in a video - but it hasn't gone down too well with his followers.

In his video, which shows money in an envelope, Isaac explained: "Last year I put $360 away for my fiancé's Valentine’s gift, but I took away $1 every day she yelled at me."

"Now her gift limit is $40 and I saved $320."

Written on one of the envelopes is "treat yourself king", followed by a crown he's drawn.

People were really confused by the situation, with some even questioning why the couple are still together if their relationship is so volatile.

Someone wrote: "Why are you still with her if she yelled at you almost every day the past year?", followed by a crying emoji.

Another commented: "I wonder who is the d*** in this relationship. Either he's doing stuff to get yelled at or she just likes yelling. I’m so intrigued right now", with a crying with laughter face at the end.

One wrote: "Why is she yelling at you then? Because she's a nag or because you are a d***? One or both of you is a problem here."

"Not a good relationship", an Instagrammer waded in.

Others tried to give relationship advice in the comments section, writing: "Bro rethink calling her fiance, something needs to be talked about."

"Such a good idea", another wrote, but others were quick to point out "that's an abusive relationship".

"I’d rather be single than be with someone like this", one woman jibed.

What do you think about this man's saving method? Let us know in the comments.
