Man's body recovered from River Trent following concerns for his safety

A man's body has been recovered from the River Trent following concerns for his safety.

Emergency services were called to Trent Bridge just after 6am on Wednesday, June 19.

After a rescue operation, a man's body has been recovered.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called just after 6am with reports of concerns for a man’s safety at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

"After a rescue operation a man's body was recovered from the water. He has yet to be formally identified and inquiries are ongoing."
