Man's body pulled from River Clyde after police respond to reports of two men in water

Police divers have recovered a man's body from the River Clyde .

The emergency services received reports of two men in the water near Blantyre Mill Road in Bothwell , South Lanarkshire, at about 10.10pm on Friday.

One of the men managed to get out of the water by himself and did not need medical treatment.

A search was launched for the second man, and divers recovered the body of a 30-year-old at around 3am on Saturday.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
