The body of a man has been found on a canal path, police confirmed.
Emergency services were called at about 10am, on December 27, following the discovery of a man's body.
Cheshire Police said the man was found on a canal path, just off Cromwell Road, in Ellesmere Port .
His death is not being treated as suspicious and no further details have been released about the man's injuries or age at this stage.
Police said a file will now be prepared for the coroner.
Photos from the scene showed a heavy police presence on Cromwell Road, as officers from Cheshire Police worked at the scene.
A cordon is believed to have been placed around the scene as enquiries continue.
