Emergency services rushed to the Renfrewshire village of Kilbarchan this afternoon (Sunday) after a man's body was discovered near a wooded area.
Police were called to Barrhill Crescent, which runs off main road Low Barholm, at 2.30pm.
Officers have now launched an investigation following the discovery.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live: "We can confirm a man's body was found near to Barrhill Crescent, Kilbarchan, around 2.30pm on Sunday, December 22, 2019.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding his death."
