A man's body has been found near a park in Bulwell, police say.
Nottinghamshire Live was contacted regarding the police presence at Hempshill Lane Recreation Ground, also known as Nelson Park, on the morning of January 1, 2022.
A body had been discovered but investigators are treating it as not suspicious.
Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called to Sellers Wood Drive in Bulwell at around 8am today after a report of a sudden death.
“A man’s body was found. His death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Coroner.
“Our deepest condolences are with his family and friends at this difficult time.”
