A man's body was found inside a house as police have launched an investigation into his death.
Emergency services were called to the home on Whalley Drive, in Town Green, West Lancashire on Monday evening.
Officers arrived shortly before 7pm and discovered the man in his 60s before declaring the death as "unexplained".
Forensic specialists and police were seen coming and going from the house for some time on Monday night as experts work to determine how he died.
Lancashire Police are now asking for anyone with information about the man to come forward and speak to officers.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the force said: "Officers were called at 6.50pm on Monday, October 26 to “reports of a sudden death at an address on Whalley Drive”.
“We attended and sadly found the body of a man aged in his 60s.
“His death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.
“Anybody with information is asked to get in touch with us on 101, quoting log 1185 of October 26.”
