Man's body found in Liverpool city centre flat

The body of a young man was found in a Baltic Triangle flat.

Emergency services were called to Jamaica Street, at about 3.35pm on Sunday.

A spokesman for the police confirmed officers attended after receiving reports a 27-year-old man had been discovered dead in a flat.

Officers said at this stage there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death.

The spokesman said: "Merseyside Police can confirm we attended a property in the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool on Sunday (2 August) following the death of a man.

"Emergency services were called to Jamaica Street shortly after 3.35pm to reports the body of a 27-year-old man had been discovered in a flat.

"The man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

"Enquiries are ongoing to formally identify the man and his next of kin have been informed.

"At this stage there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances, and a file has been prepared for the coroner."
