Man's body found in Glasgow street as cops probe sudden death

A man has been found dead on a street in Glasgow this afternoon as emergency services raced to the scene.

Police attended the city's Hope Street around 2.30pm after a man was found unconscious.

He was sadly pronounced dead on the scene and his death is not being treated as suspicious.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.30pm police were called to a report of a man found unconscious in Hope Street, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death at this time and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
