Man's body found in flat on Smithdown Road

A man's body was found in a flat on Smithdown Road after emergency services were called to a concern for safety at the address.

Police and paramedics were called out to the address on Smithdown Road in Wavertree at around 1.10pm today following reports of a concern for safety.

The man, whose age is not yet known, sadly died at the scene.

Police have said the man's death is being treated as unexplained at this time.

The ECHO understands it is non-suspicious.

Two ambulances and two police cars were seen at the scene near the junction with Ramilies Road at around 1.30pm today.

A police spokesman said to the ECHO: "Officers are assisting with enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident and have deemed the man’s death as unexplained at this time."
