Police have revealed they discovered a man’s body a Fife woodland on Valentine's Day.
The grim find was made by officers near Cardenden on Friday, February 14.
It is understood that a large scale search was being carried out in the area to the south of the A92 before the tragic discovery was made.
A force helicopter also joined in the search.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We can confirm that the body of a man was found by officers in woodland south of the A92, near Cardenden, at 1.15am on Friday February 14.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal."
