Man’s body found in Edinburgh home sparking ‘unexplained death’ probe by cops

The body of a man has been discovered inside a home in Edinburgh.

The alarm was raised at around 4.10pm on Thursday, June 10, with emergency services called to the property in Hyvot Park.

Detectives are currently treating the 41-year-old’s death as ‘unexplained’ with enquiries into the circumstances ongoing.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A force spokesperson confirmed they were called to the property in the Gilmerton area of the city yesterday.

They said: "The body of a 41-year-old man was found within a property at Hyvot Park in Edinburgh around 4.10pm on Thursday, June 10.

"The death is being treated as unexplained and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
