Man's body found in Dundee flat as cops probe 'unexplained' death

Police have launched a major probe into the death of a man in Dundee.

Officers were called to a property in the city’s Fairbairn Street yesterday after the grim discovery.

They described the death as ‘unexplained’ and confirmed that their investigation is ongoing.

There has been a police presence on the street since the victim was discovered.

Officers were taking details of everyone leaving and entering the tenement block which is close to the junction with Arklay Street.

This morning a Police Scotland spokesman told Dundee Live: “Officers were called following the sudden death of a man whose body was found within an address on Fairbairn Street, Dundee, on Tuesday.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
