Man's body found in Anfield house

The body of a man was found in a house in Anfield, police said today.

Emergency services were called to Breck Road at around 3pm on Saturday.

Officers said they were responding to reports a man's body was sadly discovered inside of a house.

The force are working to identify the man, and inform his next of kin.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death. A file has also been prepared for the coroner.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: "Merseyside Police can confirm we attended a property in Anfield on Saturday (19 September) following the death of a man.

"Emergency services were called to Breck Road at 3pm to reports the body of a man had been discovered in a house.

"The man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

"Enquiries are ongoing to formally identify the man and inform his next of kin.

"At this stage there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances, and a file has been prepared for the coroner."
