Man's body found in a park in Stockport

A man's body has been found in a park in Stockport.

Emergency services were called to Cale Green Park in Davenport just before 7am this morning (October 29).

Sadly, the body of a man was found.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A report is now being prepared for the coroner.

In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Just before 7am this morning (29 October 2020), officers were called to a report of a body found in Cale Green Park in Stockport.

"Emergency services attended and sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances and a report is being prepared for HM Coroner.

A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service confirmed they also attended the scene.
