Police and forensics remained outside a house today after the body of a pensioner was found in Formby.
Merseyside Police were called to the address on Heywood Close at around 7.10pm on Tuesday, March 26, to reports a man had died.
The force confirmed today that a man in his 80s was pronounced dead at the scene.
A number of police vehicles including a scientific support van were pictured outside the property on Wednesday afternoon, March 27.
Police said the man's death is not being treated as suspicious and officers are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.

A spokesperson said: "We can confirm that police are in attendance at an address in Formby today (Wednesday 17 March) following reports a man had died.
"Officers were called at around 7.10pm yesterday (Tuesday 16 March) to an address in Heywood Close, where they found a man in his 80s who was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and officers are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
"A file will be prepared for the coroner."
