Man's body found at Glasgow flat as police probe 'suspicious death'

A major police investigation has been launched after the body of a man was found in a Glasgow flat.

Officers are treating the 45-year-old’s death as suspicious after being called to the property on Jedworth Road in Drumchapel on Thursday, April 22.

The alarm was raised at around 5.55pm after the grim discovery was made.

He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

A probe into the exact circumstances surrounding his death remains ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 5.55pm on Thursday, April 22, officers were called to a property in Jedworth Road, Glasgow.

"Officers attended and a 45-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"An investigation is ongoing and a post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however, in the meantime, the death is being treated as suspicious.

"Anyone with information that may assist the ongoing inquiry should contact 101 quoting reference number 2750 of April 22."
