Man's body discovered outside a home in Bolton

A man's body has been discovered outside a home in Bolton .

Police were called to Trentham Close, Farnworth, at 5.45am on Monday following concern for the welfare of a man.

When officers arrived, they found the body of a 45-year-old man.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, and that the matter would be passed to the coroner.

Eyewitnesses reported a large police presence on the street after the discovery on Monday morning.

GMP said in a statement: "Police were called shortly before 5.45am this morning (Monday 16 December 2019) to reports of a concern for welfare outside an address on Trentham Close, Bolton.

"Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a 45-year-old man who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"Officers aren’t treating the death as suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner."
