Police and ambulance crews called to sudden death in Bristol park

The sudden death of a man in Lockleaze is not being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed.

A body was discovered in Stoke Park near the Purdown BT Tower on April 10.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at around 5.20pm.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious and that enquiries remain ongoing.

"We were called at around 5.20pm on April 10 to Sir John's Lane following the sudden death of a man," a police spokesperson said.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious.

"Enquiries are ongoing on behalf of the coroners."

South Western Ambulance Service added: "We were called at 5.28pm and attended with a critical care team, HART (hazardous area response team), an ambulance and an operations officer.
