The body of a man has been discovered in a south Wales river, police have confirmed. Officers were called to the Rhymney river, Machen, on Monday.
A large police presence was reported in the area, near the Recreation Ground, during the morning of April 24. Gwent Police confirmed they had been called to the scene.
A spokeswoman said: "We received a report of the body of a man discovered in Rhymney river, Machen, at around 10.20am on Monday, April 24."
A statement added: "The death is not being treated as suspicious."
