A man's body has been pulled from a canal in Wigan .
Emergency services were called to Lily Lane - between Platt Bridge and Bamfurlong - just after 8am on Sunday.
When they arrived, they discovered the body of a man in the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, near to Bamfurlong Bridge.
Formal identification has not taken place, but police say there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A spokesman for GMP said: "Police were called to Lily Lane at around 8.05am on Sunday, March 24, to reports that a body was in the water.

"Officers attended and discovered the body of a man near to Bamfurlong Bridge.
"Formal identification is yet to take place and it’s not thought that there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death."
