A body has been found near a Welsh beach, police confirmed on Monday.
The man's body was reportedly discovered by children in Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire on Friday afternoon.
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed officers were called to the spot off Fort Road on the edge of the Milford Haven waterway near the West Martello Tower just after midday.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We were called at around 12.10pm on Friday, August 20 after a body of a man was found near the beach off Fort Road in Pembroke Dock.
"Officers are currently investigating the circumstances around his death."
Fort Road runs right to the water's edge and is just metres away from Pembroke Port where the Pembroke to Rosslare ferry runs from.
