Man’s body discovered at farmland near Reddish Vale Country Park

A man’s body has been discovered in an area of grassland in Tameside.

The body of a 36-year-old man was found at Town Lane, in Denton, on Friday afternoon (July 23).

Police say the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.

Enquiries are ongoing.

A large police cordon was in place near Hyde Hall Farm, close to Reddish Vale Country Park on Friday afternoon.

Several police officers and vehicles were in the area for several hours.

Pictures show an area off Ross Lave Lane, which leads up to Reddish Vale Country Park, sealed off by officers.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “Police were just after 5pm on Friday 23 July to Town Lane in Denton, following the discovery of a body.

“Emergency services attended, and sadly the body of a 36 year old man was found deceased.

“His death isn't being treated as suspicious, and enquiries are on-going.”
