Sure, it's meant to be one the most romantic days of the year, but all over the country, you just know that lots of people were studiously ignoring Valentine's Day.
One thoughtful man had actually planned a romantic surprise only for it to go, well, wrong.
It had all started off so promisingly, with the man going the extra mile by taking to the streets.
His intention? To record a message of love which could be seen on his Strava app.
However it didn't really end up looking as impressive as initially planned.
But it wasn't for nothing - his efforts went viral on TikTok after a video of his attempt was shared on the video platform.
In the caption, his daughter explained: "My dad was trying to write Love on Strava for Valentine's Day."
He can be seen walking down the street before turning around and changing direction.
A photo of the result shows the wriggly line that was produced as a result of his effort's.
But not all was lost - people were left in stitches at his efforts.
The video has racked up more than 600,000 views and hundreds of comments.
One viewer joked: "I see no problem, a perfect translation of love."
Another suggested: "Just say it means Love in Greek."
A third added: "I just want to find someone who would go to these lengths for me."
Meanwhile, one man's "creative" gifts he ended up giving his fiancée after heading to his local shop and finding all the traditional Valentine's fare had already sold out went viral.
