
A man who has robbed several Chase Banks in Chicago attempted to rob a branch Friday in the north suburbs.
His latest heist happened about 11:35 a.m. at a Chase Bank branch at 5200 West Dempster Street in Skokie, according to the FBI. The man left the bank without any cash.
Additional details about the robbery were not released. Skokie police did not immediately reply to a request for details.
The man also tried to rob a Chase Bank branch on Thursday afternoon, the FBI said. He entered the bank, at 3714 N. Broadway, in the Lake View East neighborhood, at 2:47 p.m. and left empty-handed.
The same man is also wanted for in three other robberies, all of them Chase Banks, in which he implied he had a weapon. They happened June 22 at 935 W. Armitage Ave., May 28 at 1055 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. and May 17 at 1934 S. State St.
The FBI said the man, who is in his 20s and 6-feet tall, should be considered armed and dangerous. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading directly to his arrest.
