A man has been rushed to hospital following a crash near Edgware Road station.

The incident took place on the Marylebone Flyover in Harrow Road just after 1pm on Wednesday.

Officers from Met Police and crews from London Ambulance Service were called to the scene where they found a man injured.

A spokesperson from Met Police confirmed the man suffered a medical emergency in his car prior to the crash. He was “bleeding heavily”, they said.

The man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to a major trauma centre.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.13pm yesterday (4 June) to reports of a road traffic collision on Marylebone Flyover, W2.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre by road as a priority.”
