Man rushed to Scots hospital with 'serious' injuries after cops are called to cliffs

A man has been rushed to a Scots hospital with serious injuries after police were called to cliffs in East Lothian.

Emergency services were alerted to reports of 'concern for a person' in the Marine Road area of Dunbar around 4pm on Friday, January 7.

Police arrived at the scene and have since confirmed a man was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with 'serious injuries', reports Edinburgh Live.

Locals reported seeing a major emergency response, with cops and ambulance crews on the scene.

It's understood a police helicopter was also circling the area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received report of concern for a person in the Marine Road area of Dunbar around 4pm on Friday, 7 January, 2022.

"The man has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries.”
