Man rushed to hospital with serious injuries following horror Borders car crash

A 48-year-old man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a horror road crash in the Scottish Borders.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a three vehicle crash on the A68 around 7.30am this morning.

We told how the road was closed in both directions between Earlston and Lauder.

Traffic Scotland confirmed the road remains closed while investigations are carried out.

One man, 48, has been rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he is being treated for serious injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.30am on Tuesday, 2 February, 2021, police were called to a three-vehicle road crash on the A68 between Earlston and Lauder.

"Emergency services attended and a 48-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries. The road remains closed whilst officers continue their enquiries."
