Man rushed to hospital with serious injuries following early morning flat disturbance

A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a disturbance at a Baillieston flat early this morning.

Emergency services raced to Dyke Street after the alarm was raised at around 6:15am.

The 31-year-old is being treated at the Royal Infirmary.

Police are still on the scene investigating and have closed off three streets.

A spokeswoman said: "Police were called to a report of a disturbance within a property on Dyke Street in Baillieston at around 6:15am.

A 31 year old man has been taken to the Royal Infirmary to be treated for serious injuries. Officers remain at the scene while enquiries are ongoing.

Buchanan Street, Buchanan Grove and Dyke Street in the Baillieston area have been closed as part of their investigation."
