A man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a seven-vehicle collision in north Dublin this morning.
The incident happened on the Swords road on the north side of the city, close to the Whitehall flyover.
Gardai and emergency crews remain at the scene, while the road was closed for several hours in both directions, Dublin Live reports.
Officers are currently carrying out a forensic investigation.
There were seven vehicles involved in the crash, and a number of people have also been taken to hospital as a precaution.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a multi vehicle road traffic collision on the Swords Rd, Whitehall. The incident occurred shortly before 9am this morning 2nd March 2020
"One male was taken to Hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries. A number of people were taken to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital and Beaumont Hospital as a precaution.
"The road remains closed in both directions for examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. Further updates will be available on Garda Twitter."
