Man rushed to hospital with serious injuries after ladder fall - police believe it may have been pulled from under him

A man in his 60s was left with serious injuries after falling from a ladder at his Leicester home. The man was found injured on the floor by emergency services at his home in The Wayne Way at 1.06pm.

Leicestershire Live reports that the man was taken to hospital and his house was taped off with a police van stationed outside the property on Saturday afternoon (May 21).

A Leicestershire Police spokesman has said officers are still working to establish the circumstances of the incident, but initial inquiries suggest the man was up a ladder before he was injured, which was then pulled out from under him.

Detective Sergeant Rowan Paterson said: “We have spoken to a number of people at the scene but are continuing to appeal to anyone with any information to make contact with us so we can establish what has happened. Were you in the area this afternoon? Did you see or hear anything?

"Do you have any CCTV, dashcam footage or video doorbell footage which may assist our investigation? If you do, then please get in touch.”

If you have any information, you can report online at www.leics.police.uk, call 101 quoting incident 312 of 21 May or provide information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
