A man remains in hospital with serious injuries after being found badly hurt at a house in Larkhall.
Emergency services were called to the property on Glen Avenue late on Friday night after the alarm was raised.
A 40-year-old man was taken to the University Hospital Wishaw for treatment by medics.
A police investigation into the circumstances surrounding his injuries has been launched with officers following a ‘positive line of enquiry’.
Officers remain at the property near Robert Smillie Memorial Primary School on Saturday lunchtime.
Detective Sergeant Charles Limond, from Cambuslang CID, said: “Around 10.30pm on Friday, 20 August, emergency services were called to the Glen Avenue area of Larkhall following a report of a man with serious injuries.
“The 40-year-old man was taken to the University Hospital Wishaw, where he currently remains.
“Officers are carrying out an investigation in the area and are following a positive line of enquiry.”
