Man rushed to hospital with serious injuries after falling from ladder at building site

A man has suffered serious injuries after falling from a ladder in Rossendale.

Emergency services were called to Burnley Road in Bacup, near Bury, just after 11.30am on Tuesday (August 3).

It was reported a person had fallen from a ladder at the Holmes Service station.

On arrival, paramedics found a man with serious injuries and rushed him to hospital via road ambulance.

An air ambulance also attended, Lancs Live reports.

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called to Holmes Service station, Burnley Road, Bacup at 11.34 following reports someone had fallen from a ladder.

"A man has been taken to hospital by road with serious injuries.

“A helimed crew also assisted the response."
