Man rushed to hospital with serious injuries after car crash in Burnfoot, Co Donegal

A man was seriously injured in a horror car crash in Co Donegal on Monday.

The single-vehicle collision happened at around 6pm on Monday at Tieveban in Burnfoot.

Local station Highland Radio reports that the car crashed into a tree.

The man, in his 50s, was rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A second man, also in his 50s, was brought to the hospital as a precaution.

A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred in Tieveban, Burnfoot, Co Donegal on June 8 at approximately 6:00pm.

"Two occupants of the car, males in their 50s, were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, one with serious non-life threatening injuries and the other as a precaution."
