Man rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by car in Aberdeen

A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Aberdeen this afternoon.

Emergency services r aced to a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Great Northern Road around 2pm today.

A man has been taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The road remains closed between Clifton Road and St Machar Drive.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch as enquiries into the crash continue.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police are conducting enquiries following a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Great Northern Road, Aberdeen around 2.05pm on Monday, 16 August, 2021.

"Emergency services attended and a man has been taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

“The road is currently closed between Clifton Road and St Machar Drive.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1752 of 16 August.”
