Man rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after brutal Glasgow assault

A man has been rushed to hospital following a brutal assault in Glasgow.

The 31-year-old victim was left with "serious" head injuries following the attack on Monday evening.

The assault took place at around 5pm near to Duror Street.

The injuries were so severe the man required hospital treatment.

A police cordon was also set up which remained in place over night.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers in Glasgow are investigating a serious assault which happened near to Duror Street at around 5pm on Monday 1, March, 2021.

“A 31-year-old man suffered serious head injuries which required hospital treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who witnessed anything in the area should contact officers on 101 quoting incident number 2545 of 1 March.

"An anonymous report can be given to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
