
A young man is being treated in hospital for multiple stab wounds after allegedly being knifed in the Scottish Borders.
Police were called to reports of a ‘disturbance’ at a house in Cademuir Drive, Peebles, at around 9.45pm on Thursday.
Officers discovered a 25-year-old had sustained multiple injuries during the incident before being rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Medics describe his condition as stable however he remains in their care.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident while police enquiries continue.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.45pm on Thursday, 15 July, police were called to a report of a disturbance in Cademuir Drive, Peebles.
“Emergency services attended and a 25-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where he is currently being treated for multiple stab wounds.
"Medical staff describe his condition as stable.
“A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing.”
