A man has been hospitalised with serious head and face injuries after a ‘brutal assault’ on a Lanarkshire street.
The 49-year-old was attacked on Rosevale Crescent in Bellshill between 8.30pm and 9pm on Friday, February 26.
Detectives say the man’s wounds required “immediate hospital treatment” due to how severe they were.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses as they attempt to discover the full circumstances surrounding the attack.
Detective Constable Colin Sharp of Lanarkshire CID said "This was a particularly brutal assault where the male victim sustained multiple head and facial injuries which required immediate hospital treatment."
