Man rushed to hospital with ‘facial injury’ as cops swoop on Glasgow flat

A man has been rushed to hospital after suffering a facial injury at a Glasgow flat.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Queen’s Drive at around 8.35am on Tuesday, April 27 after the alarm was raised.

A 28-year-old was found to hurt following a reported assault and taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to their wounds.

Officers remain at the scene while a 26-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.35am on Tuesday, 27 April, police were called to a report of a man having been assaulted within a property in Queens Drive, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and a 28-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to a facial injury.

“A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing.”
