Man rushed to hospital with facial injury after assault outside Glasgow Central Station

Police raced to Glasgow Central Station after a man was assaulted.

The victim was rushed to hospital after the attack on Union Street , outside Glasgow Central Station , at around 5.05pm tonight.

Officers taped off the area whilst they carried out their investigations.

The man sustained a facial injury and was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary .

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Union Street, outside Glasgow Central Station, at around 5.05pm today after a man was assaulted.

"The man has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a facial injury.

"Inquiries are ongoing and officers remain at the scene."
