Man rushed to hospital with abdomen and chest injuries after early morning serious assault in east end

A 20-year-old man has been rushed to hospital following a serious assault in the east end of Glasgow.

The incident occurred at about 4.30am this morning on Stamford Street when emergency services rushed to the scene.

The victim suffered abdomen and chest injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.

Police Scotland have appealed for anyone with information about the attack to get in touch.

A spokesperson said: "We were called to a report of a serious assault in the Stamford Street area of Glasgow around 4.30am on Saturday, 19 October.

"A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with abdomen and chest injuries. Enquiries are ongoing.”

“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0754 of 19 October.”
