Man rushed to hospital following incident on Wishaw street

A man was rushed to hospital following an alleged altercation on a Wishaw street.

Emergency services were called to Coldstream Crescent just after 4pm yesterday (Thursday).

The injured man was taken to nearby University Hospital Wishaw by paramedics while police confirmed another man had been arrested in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.05pm on Thursday, October 6, police were called after a 26-year-old man was found injured on Coldstream Crescent, Coltness, Wishaw.

“He has been taken by ambulance to University Hospital Wishaw where medical staff describe his condition as stable.

“A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing.”

Anyone with information on the alleged incident is asked to contact police on 101.
