Man rushed to hospital following attack in Paisley street

A man has been rushed to hospital following an attack in Paisley.

Police have sealed off Seedhill Road in the town following the incident this afternoon.

The man, whose age is not known, has been taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital and officers remain on the scene.

The man’s injuries and condition is not known.

Police cars and ambulances could be seen on the busy Paisley street, with police taping off access to the public.

Paisley CID confirmed officers are on the scene dealing with an ongoing incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Officers are currently on the scene at Seedhill Road following an incident at 2.40pm.

“A man has been taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.”
