A man has been taken to hospital following an incident on a Rutherglen road.
The 57-year-old was taken to hospital this morning by the Scottish Ambulance Service after emergency services rushed to the scene on Cambuslang Road.
The extent of his injuries is not known at this time.
Police Scotland confirmed to Glasgow Live that they attended the incident following reports at 9.30am of concern for a person.
Eyewitnesses reported that road had been cordoned off by police officers following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said : “We were called around 9.30am to a report of a concern for a person in the Cambuslang Road area of Rutherglen.
"A 57-year-old man has been taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.”
