A man was rushed to hospital and a woman was also injured after an Audi overturned on the M56.
Police said the crash - which involved just one car, a grey Audi A5 - happened on the exit slip road between junction eight and nine of the motorway just after 12.20pm yesterday (Sunday). Emergency services were called after the car overturned.
The driver of the car - a 32-year-old man - was taken to hospital from the scene with serious injuries. The passenger in the car - a 68-year-old woman - sustained minor injuries.

A stretch of the westbound side of the motorway was closed off for hours as emergency services responded to the incident. It was fully shut between junction seven for Bowdon and junction nine for the M6, with tailbacks stretching back to Manchester Airport.
The eastbound carriageway was also closed for a short time while an air ambulance landed at the scene. At around 7pm, North West Motorway Police said the road had been fully reopened.
In a statement, a Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called just after 12.20pm on Sunday 11 December to the M56 slip road between junction 8 to junction 9 following reports of a collision involving one car, a grey Audi A5. As a result, the car had overturned.
"The driver of the car, a 32-year-old man, was taken to Aintree hospital with serious injuries. The passenger of the car, a 68-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries."
