Man rushed to hospital and arrest made after 'mass disturbance' in Scots town

A man has been taken to hospital after an alleged mass 'disturbance' in a Scots town.

Cops were called to Warout Road in Glenrothes, Fife at around 12.40am today amid reports of a large group gathered in the area.

A 46-year-old man was found injured and taken to hospital.

Police said a 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident in the town.

A Police Scotland spokesman said officers were continuing to probe the incident.

He said: “Around 12.40am on Sunday, 31 October, officers were called to the Warout Road area of Glenrothes following a report of a disturbance involving a number of people.

"A 46-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries and a 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. Enquiries into the matter remain ongoing.”
