Man rushed to hospital after 'violent attack' in Grangemouth street as police race to the scene

A man is being treated in hospital for serious injuries after being allegedly violently attacked in Grangemouth.

Emergency services were called to a block of flats on Portal Road near to the junction with Burnbank Road at around 3.25pm on Friday.

Two marked police vans, two ambulances and a specialist paramedic were sent to the scene after the alarm was raised.

Police Scotland confirmed that a 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged.

A force spokesperson said: "Around 3.25pm on Friday, 27 November, police were called to the Portal Road area of Grangemouth following a report of an assault.”

“We can confirm that a 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.”

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
